The Chair called the meeting to order at 2:35 pm.

The Minutes of the meeting of November 18, 2019 were circulated for the Committee's information.  The minutes have been approved at a prior Council meeting.

The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) will reach out to Liz again regarding Bridgeview school coming before Council to discuss their request for a donation. 

The Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) inspections for the Municipal Office were reviewed by the Committee.

    THAT the JHSC Inspection Sheets for the Municipal Office be received and filed.

The Finance budget was reviewed by the Committee.

A suggestion was made to use part of the funds collected from the MAT tax for sponsorship requests such as Celebration of lights, Granfondo, Canada Day Committee, and Bluewater Anglers. The remainder of the anticipated MAT tax revenues will be placed in a reserve account.

    THAT the CAO be authorized to proceed with the recommended upgrades from Windows 7 to Windows 10.

The CAO will touch base with Tracy Ranick on ways to expand and better the market, as well as obtain 2019 stat information to prepare a report for the next Finance Committee meeting. 

Christmas in the Village discussions took place regarding the budget, and the CAO will speak with the Events Co-Ordinator to see what amount is needed for expenses.

    THAT the financial statements for the period ending December 31, 2019 be received and filed.

The next meeting of the Finance Committee will be held February 11, 2020 at 2:30 pm.
