The Mayor called the meeting to order at (time).

The purpose and effect of the proposed Official Plan Amendment would be to add a site specific policy to the Mixed Use Designation to permit semi-detached dwellings, which are low density residential development, to lands known municipally as 1600 Venetian Boulevard. A residential subdivision consisting of semi-detached dwellings and townhouses is being considered for the subject property.

The proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment would change portions of the zoning on land described as POINT EDWARD PT MILITARY; RESERVE RP 25R10638 PARTS 2;4 AND 5 PT PARTS 1 AND 3 RP; 25R10781 PARTS 1 AND 2, known municipally as 1600 Venetian Boulevard, from the Residential Marina 1.4 (RMAR1.4) and Environmental Protection (EP1) zones to a new Residential Marina 1.5 (RMAR 1.5) zone. The purpose of the new zone is to accommodate the creation of a future residential subdivision containing townhouses and semi-detached dwellings.

The Bluewater Anglers are hoping to run their Salmon Derby this year and are asking for the $5,000 sponsorship that the Village of Point Edward has traditionally offered.
